As remarked by one of Apple’s high officials, release of iPhone 5 will be accompanied by release of an iPhone 4S sidekick. The remark came in response to Sprint’s CFO thought on the low priced iPhone. The question unanswered here is why apple would go for launching two phones at the same time. Well, the fact is that over the years, Apple has gone for two different versions of the iPhone at a price difference of $100 or so.
It allows smartphone giant Apple to make the new iPhone according to their wish without requiring to hold back on the components or sell them at loss, whilst preserving the pricing of iPhone competitive to that of rest of the smartphone platforms. So, in this case iPhone 4S will be serving as the low priced edition of the phone though not with iPhone 5 alike features but a budget phone with something more to offer than iPhone 4.
